Time of year in nature's clock and spring flowers
The piece reflects on daylight saving time and the arrival of spring. It notes marigolds in quickmud lowlands, skunk cabbage leaves, hepatica petals, white anemones, trilliums, and a whiff of trillium root. It observes bluebirds nesting, doves and wrens returning, and urges taking time to enjoy nature before time itself wastes away.
