Commerce inquiry threatens U.S. solar industry

The Commerce Department is probing whether Southeast Asia imports sidestep China anti-dumping rules, a move clean energy leaders warn could trigger retroactive tariffs up to 240 percent, cost thousands of jobs, and imperil up to 80 percent of planned U.S. solar projects across the nation. Auxin Solar backs the inquiry, saying panels from Cambodia Malaysia Thailand and Vietnam may mask Chinese dumping.
