Miracle League mascot Homer damaged at Sam Mass Park
The Miracle League of Northeast Ohio removed its mascot Homer from Sam Mass Park after it was found dirtied and cracked. League president Ken Richardson said the 5 foot concrete figure had cracks in its legs and a flower root stuffed in its mouth, with police and city officials notified as detectives investigate. The incident follows prior vandalism at the field and shows the league’s commitment to a welcoming space for players with disabilities.
