Two-vehicle crash injures driver at Route 94 18 intersection
At 9 42 a m a semitrailer and a Ford Edge crashed at the Route 94 and 18 junction in Sharon Township. Arielle Pieronek of Brunswick suffered head and knee injuries, was treated and released. she was cited for a red light violation. Ian Moran, the semitrailer driver, reported no injuries. Responding agencies included Sharon Township Fire Department and Medina County Sheriff.

Jobless claims rise in Medina and Lorain counties
Medina County reported 183 initial unemployment claims for the week ending June 10, nine more than the prior week, with a four week average of 127. Lorain County rose to 396 claims, up 120 from the week before, while Ohio statewide claims totaled 17,328, up 528.
