Seville facility plan sparks resident concerns and council clash
Seville residents and officials debated a warehouse project at a village meeting. Sally Fortney urged conflict checks and recusal of Councilwoman Kathy Rhoads over trucking ties while nurse Lauren Lavoie warned of diesel emissions harming health and the environment. Critics questioned emergency language, variances, noise, and expected truck traffic on Route 3, as others pressed for disclosure on what would be stored. The ordinance was eventually adopted amid sharp public tension. The next council meeting is July 12.
