Between Friday and Sunday, Medina Township police logged damage to a public bathroom on Public Square and a housing scam report on Ryan Road. Stolen items from a locked Lafayette Road cabinet were reported, traffic stops issued citations, juveniles caused ventana window damage, and crashes on North Court Street and Reagan Parkway yielded citations. A woman was arrested for operating a vehicle while impaired. a non human leg bone was found on Crossbow Circle.

Memorial Park athletic course project faces delays
Wadsworth city engineer Vicky McCauley said the Memorial Park athletic court project is behind schedule due to damaged anchor bolts, need to order new parts, and bad weather. Early work at Darling Park has base course done while surface work awaits and a 30 day cure before coating. The overall project near $7 million includes playground, splash pad, bathrooms, zip line, parking and utilities.

Medina High School to add trained K nine for safety
Medina High School will acquire a German short haired pointer K nine to assist in area search, building search, article search, and bomb and firearm detection. The dog will later become an emotional support animal. Training, including a Pennsylvania stint, is funded by a school safety grant covering the K nine and vehicle upfit. Police will provide a suitable Medina vehicle with a kennel and gear. Ed Kinney, Medina Police Chief, noted the district faced bomb threats last year and this asset will speed investigations.
