Wartime Viet Vet Benefits Eligibility Shrinks After Vietnam Era
Washington reports 9.7 million Vietnam Era veterans remain eligible for wartime benefits. The Vietnam Era ended May 7, 1975 by presidential proclamation. Many previously eligible for education, pensions, and burial benefits will lose wartime status for future entrants. Home loan eligibility remains unaffected.
