Ohio Senate approves temporary shield laws for business
The Ohio Senate passed Senate Bill 308 shielding small businesses and health care providers from COVID-19 related lawsuits unless there is evidence of reckless or intentional conduct. The measure, mostly temporary, would extend immunity until April 1, 2021, and moves to the House for consideration. Separately, Lancet retracts a May malaria drug safety study tied to hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine for COVID-19, citing unverifiable data and broad safety concerns.
