Minnesota farmer root to fine dining chef Muriel story
Chef owner Karyn Tomlinson travels weekly from the Twin Cities to Dassel Cokato to run Muriel in St Paul. Her career spans Le Cordon Bleu Paris to Corner Table, winning Cochon 555 in 2018 as the first woman national champion and partnering with James Brown to open Muriel in a historic St Paul building. The restaurant showcases farm partnerships, three tasting menus nightly, and dishes built around seasonal produce with desserts like parsnips and sorghum.
