The Medina County Joint Vocational School board discussed budget, site plans, salaries, and heating plans. Architects Heine Crider proposed using construction management to handle all 22 contracts with a hired construction manager assisting the board.
Hinckley trustees approved a 1973 budget of 168 449 including 25 200 contingent on passage of a two mill town hall expansion and remodeling levy on the fall ballot. They outlined 1973 receipts and expenditures, millage totals, and a proposed school building plan near Medina with bids and architectural fees discussed for a large project.
Brunswick Hills tavern owners Lou Crane Al Boone and Carl Vanderling told trustees that Medina County Tavern Owners Association will pursue Sunday sales across the county. The Brunswick Hills seven shopkeepers informed officials of the action as the issue heads to the November ballot. Construction of an uptown park gazebo bandstand and twin fountains, financed by the Letha House Foundation, is approved for next spring with a cost estimated at 50 000 to 60 000 dollars.
Cal Wible presented a 1.5 million dollar commercial project for 27 acres at Rt. 18 and Nettleton Road. The plan features auto agencies, a bank, stores, offices, and an auto wash with Western Reserve motif. Construction by Ray Fogg Building Systems targets completion in two years.
