Demolition Decision Talk At Medina Preservation Board
Medina County preservation board held a special meeting on the property with structural engineer Isaac Lewin of LA Lewin, PE, and Associates. Lewin described extensive damage including walls out of plumb floors out of level and rotted basement wood. He warned stripping drywall and removing plumbing and electrical would be needed to fix issues and estimated costs from 500 to 1000 dollars per square foot. The board moved to approve demolition with salvage options and suggested Medina County Historical Society and Community Design Committee to help locate salvage sources.
