Brunswick Hills trustees seek May ballots for two fire EMS levies
The Brunswick Hills Township Board of Trustees advanced two fire and EMS levies for the May ballot. One is a continuous renewal of the current 5.2 mill levy funding the fire department, generating about $1.3 million annually. The second add 1 mill for five years about $400,000, enabling two more full-time staff and a new tanker. Homeowners would pay $35 yearly per $100,000 value. The plan seeks faster response times and staffing at both stations. A levy decision will go to the Medina County auditor, then back to trustees before Feb. 1 to be placed on the ballot.

On Monday December 19 officers stopped a red Toyota for marijuana possession. A warrant for Lawrence R Meiers for failure to appear in driving with FRA suspension was issued. On Tuesday December 20 Tyler Wooding 25 of Wadsworth was arrested on a warrant after a jump start call. A resident reported fraudulent credit card charges.
