Midwest sees drop in Covid surge but cautions remain
Experts say the Upper Midwest has eased from a sharp November spike with declines up to 66 percent in North Dakota and 20 percent in Iowa. Governors’ stances diverge on restrictions while epidemiologists warn a flare up is possible if precautions lapse. Community impact, hospitalizations, and personal experiences have driven more mask use and fewer gatherings as vaccines loom.
