Medina City grants police powers to hospital officers
Medina Mayor Dennis Hanwell and Police Chief Ed Kinney authorized a memorandum of understanding with the Cleveland Clinic Foundation Police Department granting Cleveland Clinic Medina Hospital officers the same powers as municipal police on Clinic property. Medina officers retain investigative authority and arrests, while Clinic officers assist in investigations and report sharing.
