High danger persists as Southern California wildfires burn
Fire danger remained high with Santa Ana winds and dry conditions across Southern California. Blazes south and east of Los Angeles damaged homes and sent two U.S. Forest Service firefighters to hospital. Thousands evacuated near the Silverado Canyon fire as crews made progress, while other small blazes in Riverside and San Diego Counties were contained.
