Singles Expo '78 kick-off dance faces mixed reactions
At the Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles the Singles Expo '78 kickoff dance drew about 400 attendees with 1,000 on Friday night. Organizers say the event aims to show singles are people with goals, not just lonely hearts, while noting dances are often shy affairs as attendees negotiate dating norms. The expo features workshops, exhibits, and a keynote by George Bach, framed by a casual, mixed-age crowd and a note of optimism about LA County singles. Meanwhile Medina County hosts a corn roast at Dave Babcock’s Seville home and a Sunday PWP outing at Hinckley Lake.
