Medina council limits urban hunting rules and moves amendment forward
Medina Parks Director Jansen Wehrley told the committee that participants must be at least 21 and show five years of hunting experience or five deer harvests. The finance committee approved the proposal 6 to 1, with Lamb opposed, and Dennie Simpson proposed restricting hunting to city parks and adjacent areas. Law Director Gregory Huber noted hunting is a state recreational activity and riders bear liability. The amendment heads to the Sept 12 council meeting at 7:30 in the rotunda.
