Obituary notices and national defense surveillance report
Obituaries of Paulette A Stemple and Nancy J Boone detail their lives in Ohio and family ties. A Pentagon inspector general report concludes National Guard RC 26 reconnaissance planes used in four cities for protests did not collect intelligence on individuals but highlights vague DoD rules and recommends stricter guidance and approval, with potential reclassification as intelligence aircraft.

We Build the Wall backers charged in crowdfunding scheme
The AP reports Steve Bannon and three partners tied to the We Build the Wall venture face charges for allegedly diverting more than 25 million donated for the private border wall. Brian Kolfage led the effort, with Timothy Shea and Andrew Badolato among indicted associates, while Dustin Stockton described as a non-charged partner. The group allegedly used donations for luxury purchases and personal ventures, despite pledges to donate all funds. Trump supporters and officials commented, with Donald Trump Jr praising the effort while President Trump criticized the private wall plan. Federal investigators began probing after donors filed complaints, and the case could carry lengthy penalties if proven.
