Medina Schools draft plan outlines cuts if levy fails
Medina Schools released a draft reduction plan for 2025-26 if the 7.5 mill operating levy fails. The plan foresees school reconfigurations, grade banding, moving fifth grade to A I Root, Claggett to junior high, fewer electives, loss of gifted services, end of high school busing for K-5, staff reductions, and per sport pay-to-participate models. Sable warned some cuts would be permanent while others could be reinstated if funding returns.
