Ohio Employment Dips Despite Columbus Rise
Ohio employment for production workers and supervisory staff fell two percent in the first half of 1972 from the previous year. Only Columbus and Toledo showed June to June gains, while Canton Dayton Akron and Cleveland dropped. Construction and manufacturing declined with varied percentages, and mine and quarry work fell as well. Agricultural governmental and public education workers were not counted.

Annual Car Show Slated at Brunswick High School Grounds
The eighth annual Northern Ohio Antique and Classic Car Club show and sale will be at Brunswick High School on Aug 26 and 27. Saturday features a swap meet and vendors. Sunday showcases hundreds of autos from several states and a 1931 Ford rumble-seated coupe giveaway at 5 p.m. Activities start 9 a.m. Food available both days.

Moran to lead Weathervane as new managing director
Larry J. Moran will become managing director of Weathervane Community Playhouse on September 1, succeeding Richard Ack. Moran previously served seven years as associate director of theatre at the University of South Alabama in Mobile where he directed and designed nearly two dozen major productions. His first Weathervane show will be Death of a Salesman opening October 19. The 1972 73 season begins with Done to Death directed by Dick Holliday opening September 7.
