Trump Signs 30 Dollar Conservation Plan Nationwide
President Trump signed the Great American Outdoors Act to provide about 3 billion dollars annually for conservation projects, national parks maintenance, and public lands. The measure, backed by Republicans and Democrats, aims to fully fund the Land and Water Conservation Fund and tackle a long standing maintenance backlog. Interior Secretary Bernardt says the law will create over 100,000 jobs while critics say funds fall short of the 20 billion backlog across 640 million acres. Cantwell Manchin Udall praised the act as a historic win for public lands amid partisan tensions.
