Man destroys Arkansas Capitol Ten Commandments monument

A man crashed his vehicle into Arkansas's new Ten Commandments monument outside the state Capitol in Little Rock, smashing it within hours of its installation. Michael Tate Reed, 32, of Van Buren, was arrested on charges of defacing public property, criminal trespass, and first degree criminal mischief. The incident followed a prior 2014 Oklahoma monument destruction linked to Reed. Arkansas officials and sponsors vowed to replace the monument, with funds already being raised, while Governor Hutchinson condemned the act as unwarranted.
