Sex offender charged with going to church in Lincolnton
James Dwight Bandy 38, a registered sex offender, was arrested for attending New Vision Ministries services on November 24 and December 2 in Lincolnton. He allegedly violated release terms by being within 300 feet of a location where children gather. Pastor Scott Mann said Bandy previously attended the church and that a church member reported the issue to authorities. Bandy faces bond and court processing after a Lincoln County magistrate set a $5,000 secured bond.
