From Duganco Colorado June 3 Mrs Robert Mor row and two children perished in a kerosene lit fire explosion aftermath detailed. Washington June 1 lawmakers show no cohesive plan to relieve farming or labor distress citing vague demands and chaotic bills.
Three female teachers from the Western female seminary attended a Meth social in Oxford after being forbidden by Miami university lady managers to visit the seminary girls. President Warkela declined to name the teachers involved while Warfield Morning reported the incident.
The Democratic county convention nominated George C. Cooper for state senator with McFarland Wilson Myers and Birdselanc among others. Reports from nineteen North Dakota counties and twenty seven in South Dakota say crops are in good condition though worms caused some damage in a few areas.
Foreign Affairs reports in Berlin that Emperor William may form an auxiliary worker council under a new arbeitrath with annual stipends to supervise trade relations. The proposed body would shape German labor regulations and mediate employer worker issues.
May 00 may 00 The Journal prints details on a large cracker trust formed with a capital of 10 million dollars. It includes most major cracker makers and will consolidate their business by transferring properties in exchange for trust shares. Final papers are said to have just been signed and delivered.
On May 4 in Rucumont Virginia a balmy morning drew crowds from town and military groups for a Lee Monument procession. Chief Marshal General Fits Hugh Lae and Generals Early Johnson Longstreet were cheered as they moved. Governor McKinley in his Lee Monument association role presided and introduced Colonel Archer Anderson, who spoke with restrained ardor honoring Lee.
The LaClede touring mills owned by Kehler Bros in LaClede were entirely burned early this morning. Loss estimated at 125000 dollars, not insured. Fire origin unclear as mill had been idle. A separate report from Mownearoms Minnesota notes a terrible hail storm in the Red River valley, hail four feet deep in spots, causing crop damage.
