Foe eon State has been chosen to attend Girls State June 9 through 15, 1947. The program aims to foster interest and responsibility in government for the participants to carry back to their communities.
Sam Grathwell spoke in a dramatic recount at FHS on April 9. He described how the 7. B. I. fights crime and reflected on a similar period of activity from the previous year.
An evening of dancing games and prizes awaits as the masquerade ball begins at 7 30 pm. Dor tha Garrison hosts as MC with judges awarding two prizes for best costumes. Masks feathers ribbons hats and other adornments encouraged to create prize winning characters.
In an advanced shorthand class two students, Betty Terrill and Darlene Holstrom, passed the 100 word a minute newsletter test in March.
The Hi-Y Mother-Son Banquet will be a key item at the next regular club meeting on April 17. Stan Roberts, program director for the area, will be guest speaker. The program theme centers on The Hi-Y and Home Relationships and stresses member attendance for the future of the Fairbury Hi-Y.
