At the Welton home near Fairbury a wedding joined Miss Inez Welton and John R. Jay of Wichita. Rev W T Cline officiated. The bride wore Copenhagen Blue Messaline silk with lace and carried bride roses. Guests at a wedding breakfast included intimate friends. The couple left for Kansas City by noon train and will reside in Wichita after a short eastern visit. The bride is a Jefferson county resident, daughter of Cyret and (Mrs) Welton, with out of town guests from Paola Kansas Fort Worth Texas and a telegram of congratulations from Gallup New Mexico.

Mrs Pool accuses Shepherd of assault while Shepherd retorts Pool followed him for about 100 feet and attacked him first. Thefts Reported at C L Clark Merchandise Store
Thief entered the C L Clark merchandise store Thursday night and stole about 175 dollars worth of black silk and a small amount from cash drawers. An uncashed envelope containing 11 dollars and 40 dollars belonging to Steele City Telephone Co remained untouched. Entrance appeared gained by pushing south front doors without signs of violence.

Man Cleared After Check Theft Case In Fairbury
Ferguson was arrested in Fairbury for larceny of a $6300 payroll check. He pleaded not guilty, alleged a man named H C Holbrook pressured him into signing a false statement, and a jury later acquitted him. The missing check was found soon after in a McPherson restaurant cash drawer, and Holbrook has not been seen since.
