Community updates record births marriages travels legal business and civic entries from Rock Creek and surrounding towns. Residents include Mr and Mrs Leonard, Mrs Hammond, J E Whitney, Sheriff Bonowitz, and others with moves visits elections and legislative events.
The club outlines a program featuring instrumental solos by Miss Tolleth, songs by Miss Maud Tolleth and Miss Cuykendall, mandolin numbers by Mesdames Perry and Kesterson, recitations by Mrs. Showalter, and talks on benevolence and practical philanthropy by Mrs. Andrews and Rev. Balch. A grand march accompanies this donation event for the poor. all members are urged to attend with a guest. About twenty five members have attended loosely this fall and are most desired to attend.
Miss Nellie Andrews gave a vocal solo on Monday with Edith Lewis as pianist this week. Alfred Nafziger and Ruth Whipple were absent a few days. The seniors and sophomores played the freshmen and juniors in a football game that week, the latter team winning 6 to 0.
Miss Cora Decker of Fairbury is painting a house south of Bower after returning home Friday. J B Chapman left for Wy more on Saturday. De Heath of Daykin was a professional caller this week. The Christian Endeavor society hosted a chicken pie social at Mrs Rosenberger's Thursday. Dr Weidner of Fairbury was a professional caller in town last Saturday. CORRESPONDENT.

Helen Karts burlesque company at Steele's Opera performs Saturday November 24 with refined entertainment and numerous high grade specialties and vaudeville features. The program promises bright and new acts this season.
