The Enterprise urges subscribers to pay up before January 1 1907 to cover labor and stock bills. Notes many local notices, arrivals, court cases, and community updates as residents report on visits, travels, and events across Fairbury and surrounding towns.
Transfers recorded in the week ending February 1887 reported by J. Monros include bonds and deeds among multiple parties such as Davis and Carter to Colling, Sm’th to Bertha Cotton, and Champlia’s Lines Redges. Other entries mention United Sair to Mae Frys, Shea to P W Shea, Charles B Anderson to Henry Sehinky, Whitaker, and Albert & Rintbort with various parcel descriptions and stakes.
Public sale announced for February 18 1897 at 10 a m at the residence four and a half miles north and half a mile east of Fairbury and four miles west and one mile north of Jansen. Goods include several mares, colts, a cow and calves, farm machinery and nine barrels cider vinegar. Terms: cash for the first 5, credit over 5 with note and approved security, 10 percent interest charged if due dates lapse, 6 percent discount for cash over 5, property must stay until settled, lunch provided.
