The report notes adjournment of the Geneva Arbitration case and continuation of the Stokes Trial. Treasury balance reported at yesterday's level of 123. The Court of Arbitration met at Hotel de Ville and, after a brief session, agreed to adjourn until July 15 to allow printing of the British and American cases and related documents. The gathering, held in Geneva, yielded no significant business.
In New York on June 29 the Stokes trial resumed in the Court of Oyer and Terminer. Witness John T. Redmond testified to Stokes firing at Fisk at the Grand Central Hotel after being shown upstairs by Fisk. Other witnesses and coroner actions followed as President Grant's party arrived and city strikes shift toward ten-hour workdays.

R J Maull stored brandy also ruined with insured values.

Washington dispatch notes clear to partly cloudy conditions from the South Atlantic and Gulf states to the Mississippi with light to fresh winds. The Middle and New England states may see southerly to westerly winds and possible rain from Tennessee to the upper lakes with gusty easterly winds and more rain pockets.

Steamers arriving include United States and Ben Franklin from multiple ports. departures list several returning vessels. Coal traffic totals 695000 bushels from Pittsburg to Cincinnati. potential increase if water rose further. Friends report Rev. J. Thompson is rapidly recovering from injuries sustained in the assault. He will not depart for Kansas until mid next week, and was seen at his father's home this morning confirming improving condition.
