Baron Von Freudenrich died at his residence near St Paul Minnesota at age seventy. A native of Berne Switzerland he came to the United States in 1851 as agent for a pig iron venture led by his brother in law Count Pourteles. Losses followed a land boom and he retired to a small farm near St Paul before his death.
