Philadelphia January 5 Gen Grant and party toured the city with friends. He dined at ex-Secretary Borie's home and will attend a dejener at the Commercial Exchange tomorrow at 11 30 am with Secretary Boutwell ex-Secretary Borie and Mr Forney. A welcome speech will open with Grant replying briefly. Boutwell will address finances and business prospects.
In Chicago on January 6 the Circuit Court ruled in Lecrosse versus the Great Western Railroad. The plaintiff seeks damages for forty-three bales of wool lost.
