Special Dispatch to the Evening Star reports near Lexington Kentucky that the Headley distillery at Lexinerox was totally destroyed by fire last night. Loss estimated at twenty thousand dollars and fully insured.
Paris reports the execution at Camp of Satory of three condemned Communists for the Le Comte and Thomas killings. They were blindfolded, fired on by a military firing squad, and died instantly. Authorities signal political upheaval, with Thiers pressed to pursue a crusade against plotters and presses to be silenced.
Antwerp officials petition Belgian government to expel Count de Chambord claiming disturbances linked to his presence and plots. Count hosted Legitimist delegation for a fusion of Orleans and Legitimist interests with a banquet and toasts praising restoration of papal power. Ex-King of Hanover visits, mission unclear.
A dispatch from Posen reports a fanatical Catholic has been arrested in that city on charges of involvement in a conspiracy recently uncovered to assassinate Prince Bismarck.

Logsden aged about twenty one appeals twice from lower courts claiming innocence and alleges others killed the victims.
In Memphis on February 22 the Octavia Belle Lee Hartford and Kate Robinson arrived or departed with cargo. The Belle Lee carried 266 bales cotton 1 209 sacks seed and returned with 550 bales cotton 2 650 sacks oil cake and 100 tons way freight. The river rose eight inches and White River rose to six and a half feet. Submarine No 14 arrived from Arkansas with machinery for the Roseville.
Philadelphia on February 2 marks Washington birthday as a holiday with banks and the Custom House closed. A sunrise military salute opened the day and a War of 1812 veterans meeting was held at Independence Hall. A street parade by the military and numerous Washington societies will conclude the celebration.
River level 7 feet 10 inches in the channel and 5 feet on falls. Weather clear and cool with a 39 degree reading at 6 PM. Generals Lytle and Buell, plus Thompson Dean, arrived from New Orleans and traveled to Cincinnati and Potomac. The note asserts the Washington treaty panel should only decide direct damages from rebel cruisers fitted in British ports. Secretary Fish drafts reply. President to review. William P. Holcomb was shot dead by his nephew Hal Holcomb at Hal Holcomb's home in Columbia Tepa. At the saloon, Ed Khan was killed by policeman Frank Aydlott after firing into a crowd. no blame attached to Hal Holcomb or Aydlott.
Miss Sallie A. Butler of Louisville filed suit in the Law Court against Isaac E. Stevens Quartermaster at this post seeking ten thousand dollars damages for alleged breach of promise of marriage.
Cotton closed dull with 12 000 bales sold. Trade buyers took 7 000 bales and 3 000 went to export and speculation. Middling uplands brought 114 11c and Orleans 113c, with Manchester advices noted as less favorable.
A record turnout in Dayton convened last evening to oppose new city legislation and debt. A remonstrance signed by 100 to 200 citizens followed, then a ticket was named for Council President J M McArthur and other offices, while the Upper Enders nominated their own slate at Ehmer's Hall.
