Washington February 16 Victor G Powell an accomplice of W B Stokes in the Tennessee Bounty swindling was fined 500 dollars and costs then discharged. Stokes arrest motion overruled. case not going to General Term. Seth Johnson Treasury embezzler discharged under act shielding testimony. Johnson confessed before Treasury committee. Bail reduced for Ehle Third Auditor’s office to 5000 dollars.

In Rome W Y on Tuesday a German society masquerade ended with trouble when 13 year old Jo Reynolds was struck by snowballs on James street.
