In Belfast on August 19 Roman Catholics and Orange men clash over the repeal of a religious procession act. Patrick O’Brien bound over for Court of Common Pleas after assault and stabbing two men Simpson and Heffron. Frank Bush fined costs for assaulting Pat Foley. Thos Burns two cases of ten cent watermelon theft and assault with five dollars costs each. James Thompson petit larceny ten dollars and costs. Barney Blamer, drummer from New port barracks, loses money in a disreputable place. Mary Harris jailed three months.
