Beeman Leaves Middletown for Chicago With Brother Family Honor
Mrs. C. A. C. Beeman of Prospect Street departs for Chicago to reside with her brother Samuel S. Paul. Paul earned a British family coat of arms in 1911 for ancestors who served in Canada and fought with the British in 1775, gaining coronation attendance rights in King George’s era. Beeman’s husband was a Middletown printer linked to Abner Newton and C. W. Church. he later worked for The Stewart Printing Company before his death.

The Wesleyan S A T C battalion led by Major Wrightson will march from the university campus at 10 A M tomorrow, routing Main Street via High and Washington to the Green, then return via Church and High. About 300 men participate, marking the unit’s final parade in the city. Former mayor Albert R. Crittenden turned 75 yesterday. He is president of Wilcox, Crittenden & Co., connected since 1859 and formerly a traveling salesman for the firm. A Civil War veteran, he enlisted in July 1862 in Co B, Fourteenth Connecticut Volunteer Infantry and was discharged July 10, 1865. He joined St. John’s lodge F. and A. M. in November 1866, marking 52 years as a Mason.

He remains active day and night in service to his regiment and participates in several Masonic bodies.
