Portland Central School Sees Resignation of Secretaries

The Portland Central school confirms the resignation of Mr. Stuart from the school committee post, a move that follows longtime service and many friendships with students and townspeople. His departure marks another loss as education officials shift toward new fields, with Mr. Parker having moved earlier to the Standard Electric Clock Co. in Springfield. Tonight brings the Smileage Show at the Emerald W. Ballroom to raise funds for the Heage book fund, featuring John T. Fitzgerald and Professor A. J. Giacoma's company, with tickets selling well and a likely large turnout for the event and dancing afterward.
