Third Loan Will Be People's Loan
Washington April 8 The third Liberty loan will be a people's loan. The Treasury reports an unprecedented influx of pledges from small towns counties and rural districts showing the Right to fly the honor flag for full quota. Early successes are attributed to pre campaign organizing and the nation’s financial forces are urged to remain steadfast. New York and other states aim to subscribe large shares while supply of funds grows from individuals, banks and landholders. Vice President Marshall opens the deferred celebration in St Louis and Secretary McAdoo tours Richmond as officials estimate early totals and press for rapid participation nationwide.
