Twenty seven German mine sweeping vessels passed out of German possession and arrived in Dutch waters from Belgium where they were interned. A London dispatch reports the incident amid a surge of tension and conflicting news from Berlin and Copenhagen.
Entente troops march on Kiev. Skoropanski resigns as Ukrainian leader and Dentkins named successor with Entente consent. Basel reports Philipp Seesine resigns as minister of finger on the new German era. Senate panel clears to begin December inquiry into German propaganda.
A dispatch to the Rotterdamsche Courant reports that all members of the Hohenzollern dynasty will depart Germany in the near future. Their destination is not yet known.
Paris plan for welcoming the American president is under way with events for allied rulers. Messages of sorrow and admiration go to the president’s circle as officials seek a life of freedom and decency for future generations. A Baltic/European glimpse mentions Berlin talks and a Russian federation plan per Kiev reports.
London reports the German emperor question remains unresolved as the Berlin government makes no abdication communication. Casualties mount from Belgian train explosions as children’ s fires touch German munitions trains. Germany’s navy surrenders bulk of fleet to Allied forces, with 20 mile escort of warships and German crews taken prisoner under British American and French guard.
Mary Gertrude Beonnela of the American Red Cross writes Mrs. Bryan Mudgett that Lt. Ryan Mudgett of Co A 357th Infantry died from wounds received September 23. He sent a hopeful cable, died quietly September 25, was buried at Evacuation Hospital No. 1 cemetery, with Protestant and Catholic chaplains leading a joint service and flags on coffins.
Associated Press reports from Washington on November 22 that John D. Ryan resigns as director of the air service and assistant secretary of War to return to private business. In London on November 22 King Albert and the Helgi government are set to leave Dieppe and are expected to enter Brussels at 2:00 this afternoon.
AP dispatch notes the alleged dialogue at St Paul cited by the senate for impeachment debate. The vote to acquit is described and the Crowned order for 200 children's dressers is mentioned. After material receipt, work will commence.
