Paris reports the German emperor has abdicated and allied forces press the campaign across France. British troops seize Maubeuge fortress and push into Belgium while advancing near Tournai. American forces move toward Montmedy as revolution spreads in the northwest.
London reports French forces capture the fortress of Maubeuge and push the forward march along the entire battle front as General Haig leads British troops. The morning action marks a new phase with allied lines advancing on multiple sectors.
Washington reports that Maubeuge fell to British forces today as General March stated this marks the definite severance of the last German artery in the sector, making it impossible for the enemy to reinforce the line.
