The German war office announced in Berlin that over 200000 Italian prisoners were taken in the Austro German campaign on the Italian front. There was no significant fighting on that front yesterday.
Italian war office reports Austrian German forces pressed on the left wing yesterday but failed to seize the right bank of the river. Teuton efforts to reach the opposite shore were stopped by Italian troops, according to Rome dispatch.
Russian forces in the Visaneff sector reportedly fraternized with German troops yesterday. Visaneff, a town on the front southeast of Vilnius and north of the Niemen River, was cited in the announcement.
