Local entries from town include conscripts, band plans and moves
Local notes report Led May visiting Julie City, M C Stewart returning from a trip, and John Lorton accompanying his brother’s remains to Carlabad. Updates cover Purdy and son Edward seeking Navy enlistment in El Paso, Bert Tawlins seeking Waxahachie band work, and several locals leaving for Dayton to aid a Kaiser club revival. Claude Farris, enlisting in the Navy, may be rejected for weight. Exemption rules tighten as Washington notes marriage does not automatically create dependency for servicemen and classes 2 8 and 4 will be revised to fill class 1.
