A Sunday night Epworth League gathering drew a large attendance as W P Mudgett read. Mrs Mabel B Polk urged proper letters to absent soldiers while Miss Walters sang Abide with me. Mrs Redfield accompanied. Mrs Dishman read King George's greeting to American soldiers and Mrs Matilda Gerlach read no letter from a brother at the firing line in France. Judge Grantham spoke on advertising church services, urging use of printer's ink and personal invitations. Rev Geo H Givan urged writing to have ready for future use.
