The Sunday School entertainment on Friday evening drew a modest audience in Concord because of poor weather. Proceeds of 11 dollars and 15 cents will aid a missionary cause. The report also lists local visitors, movements, and Memorial Day plans for May 20 at the cemetery and church.
Mrs. Johanna Harvey and Mr. Ruth Harvey, visiting W. E. Stevens, returned to Boston Saturday. Several Canadian farmers are in the area. Henry Adams was in North Troy recently. Mr Lackey, at Mrs. Ellen M. Orton's, went to his home in St. Johnsbury. David W. Stevens, wintering with his children in Los Angeles, Cal, came home Saturday. Clayton R. Orton returned to Collope Hill, Pa., Thursday. Tsexel Domey was home over Sunday.
An old advertisement touts Hall's Catarrh Medicine offering a $100 reward for in cureable catarrh. It claims 35 years of use and bloodstream action on mucous surfaces to expel poison and heal affected areas. Testimonials and free samples are advertised from Toledo Ohio.
Max L. Powell of Burlington announces a cross state Roosevelt Highway tour along the Toonevelt highway in Vermont starting from Burlington May 20 and ending in St Johnsbury the new headquarters. The tour runs May 20 to 21 with Powell and the executive committee leading, joined by State Council members and others. The Commercial Club hosts a roolyoods meeting at Pythian Hall with remarks from Highway officials and Powell. Optional supper for Commercial Club members at the hotel Thursday night. East side motorists plan to join the Burlington party on return Friday as highway improvements are highlighted.
