Sugar on Snow at Old Red Schoolhouse
More than 100 attended the Old Red Schoolhouse gathering in South Wheelees where a supper featured sugar on snow as the centerpiece. About 50 guests came from St. Johnsbury by invitation of Charles H. Goss who provided Packard cars for transport. A sunset ride up the valley preceded the 7 o'clock feast with Harley Sherburne preparing the new sugar and abundant snow found nearby.

George A Balch died at his home in Lunenburg Thursday noon. Funeral is set for Sunday afternoon at four. He headed the Lunenburg Manufacturing Company and was well known in the casket trade. His brother Karl O Balch is very ill.
