So Long Mary and Double Speed Highlight St Johnsbury Night

Local notices report Hallie Buckley absent after an appendectomy at Brightlock Hospital with temporary replacement by Mrs Arthur J Craig. The Colonial Theatre features So Long Mary and the Paramounts Double Speed with Wallace Reid as star. Memorial day events are planned by the Chamberlin Post and Red Cross meetings set for May 4 and May 30.

Railroads adopt new schedule affecting St Johnsbury trains

The railroad systems will not adopt the new timetable until Monday. From that date morning and evening trains will arrive in St Johnsbury one hour earlier. A memorial service for the late I. G. Mashall is set for Sunday at 7.20 PM in the Y M C A building. At annual meetings Col H B Folsom of Lyndonville was re elected director and vice president of both Montpelier and Wells River and Chelsea railroads. Fred C Mayo of Woodsville was re elected superintendent of these roads.
