Junior Class Ball in Newport a Grand Success
Despite lower attendance the Newport Junior Class Ball held in School Hall Friday night drew praise for music by Burroughs' orchestra and festive decorations. Hosts and mothers provided ice cream and cake while dresses ranged from pink taffeta to white net with silver lace as attendees enjoyed the grand march. The event balanced fashion and pageantry with slim finances, leaving organizers hopeful for future dances.
