The first afternoon Iteel campaign meeting featured Dr Tees leading Bible study on Is thy heart right and later Dr Rees spoke on Stock-taking using Genesis Though the Genesis account is cited the sermon centers on man made in God's image and the fall with God asking in the garden. continuation noted on page four.
George Brown a farmer was arrested for the murder of Richard Dunn near Tamworth after confessing to the killing. He said Dunn spoke with his wife and Brown walked to bushes where he shot Dunn as he approached. He is held in county court for the May term of the Supreme Court.
N E Short reports severe coal shortfalls across New England cities due to sleet disruptions. Schools and industries close, hospitals facing only days of supply as transit and power strain amid ongoing weather. Also dated: July 15 set for the first race of the American cup regatta between Shamrock IV and the New York Yacht Club defender.
The third annual Knights of Columbus Pool Banquet honored twenty five member teams from Captain Reggie and Captain Addy squads. Walter F Palmer hosted the toast as Rev. Dwyer Mooney and others spoke. A six page program detailed the 11 point games and close scores with a prize banquet for the victors.
