Federal Road Project Discussed at Montpelier
A Montpelier meeting outlined a federal road project in Washington County affecting a rough state highway from Montpelier to St. Johnsbury. The 11.27 mile route would start at the bridge foot of Gallicon Hill and run west past Malet through Montpelier village to the fork with deads maiming, with work to begin under current appropriation and finish this year. A second survey for another road near Marshfield will be conducted in the season by the state engineer.

Death of Mrs Roberts in Shelburne
Mrs Kate Roberts wife of Ted N Moheets died early Friday after a long illness in Shelburne. Born in Charlottetown on December 24, 1869 she lived much of her life in Shelburne. Survived by two sons Frank Pittsburgh, Ty and Fred B of Shelburne, one daughter Mrs PA Pletcher of St Johnsbury, and one sister Mrs SJ Womstock of Shelburne. Funeral Friday at two from her late home.
