New Mexico Central railroad to form from Santa Fe and Albuquerque lines

Privatized assets from the east join with the Santa Fe Central to create the New Mexico Central railroad. Robert Lawes of Denver is named president designate as Albuquerque hosts a August meeting to finalize merger plans. The merged line will run 116 miles from the east to Albuquerque and is expected to hire a large workforce to accelerate construction.

Directors Select Principal At Mstencia School District Meeting

The Mstencia School District board met last Saturday and named Notwell, formerly of Nipton Missouri, as principal. Nettie Gordon Minnie Laws and Colling were chosen as teachers. The board plans a nine month term and hopes to open in the new building if possible, signaling a strong outlook for the upcoming school year.

Death after serpent bite at Estancia Valley

Walter Stowe aged unknown years died Monday afternoon at Batdwelu Cemetery after being bitten by a rattlesnake near a mile from home on May Sith day. He had shown signs of improvement before sudden decline. funeral was led by Rev. W. A. Pratt of the Methodist Church. The Stowe family had moved to Estancia Valley from Enid Oklahoma a little over a year ago, homesteading south of Estancia, with many friends offering sympathies.

Mass Meeting Scheduled After Noon at Methodist Church
