Albuquerque business leaders push a four day trade excursion to showcase the Pecos valley cut-off and attract eastern shoppers. Committees appoint to coordinate rates, trains, and Pullman service while February 6 is targeted for departure and incentives like souvenirs are proposed to boost advertising reach.
A. B. McKinley hosted a Christmas gathering at his Tajique draw homestead west of Estancia last Saturday. About sixty neighbors joined the festive event with a decorated tree and merriment, reflecting a prosperous local community in the Tajique area.

Superintendent Juan C. Jaramillo announces a special teachers examination to be held at the Estancia Schoolhouse on Thursday January 30 1908 at 10 am. Permits issued at start of term expire after this special examination under 1907 school law. Applicants must present a 1907 county or city institute attendance certificate or provide an excuse and pay a 3.00 examination fee. All teachers interested should note. S A Goldsmith of the Leader is on a business trip to Santa Fe.
